Dr. Nicholas Lubega is an orthopedic surgeon at CURE Malawi. Nicholas received both his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, and joined CURE immediately after his postgraduate training in orthopedics. He later completed a trauma fellowship at Pretoria Academic Hospital in South Africa.
Nicholas is married to Susan; they have three children. He loves teaching and is an honorary lecturer at the University of Malawi, Department of Surgery. He also serves on the AO Africa Social Economic Committee steering body, an international surgeons organization dedicated to improving trauma care and surgical education around the world.
